An audio meditation to calm emotional and physical inflammation.

This is the second set of three meditations inspired by the philosophy of Ayurveda, the ancient medical system that is a sister science to yoga. In this philosophy, mental, physical, or spiritual ill health is caused by an imbalance of the elements. The major three elements are air (vata), fire (pitta), and earth (kapha), and when there is too much of any one element, we can use another to return to balance. If you’re feeling angry, irritated, and frustrated, that can sometimes mean you have an overabundance of fire in your constitution. This cooling, calming meditation will help you calm emotional and physical inflammation, which has a healing capacity as well. This would be an appropriate meditation to do in bed as you are falling asleep, especially if something is bothering you that’s keeping you awake. It’s also a lovely meditation to do anytime in the heat of the summer.
