Tom Soma spent his professional career in the not-for-profit sector, including 15 years as Executive Director at Ronald McDonald House Charities of OR and SW Washington (chronicled in his 2014 book, The Secret Ingredient (NewSouth Books). He attended Nine Gates Mystery School in 2014 and volunteered as a staff member from 2021-24. He and Susanne live in St. Petersburg, Florida.
