Mary Ann Brussat and her husband, Frederic, are the authors of Spiritual Literacy and in 1999 were the media editors for Spirituality & Health magazine. In their book, Spiritual Rx, they present imagery exercises based on the spiritual practices in the Alphabet of Spiritual Literacy.
