Barbara Kivowitz, MSW is a clinician and consultant specializing in relationship-centered health care. She is the co-author of Love in the Time of Chronic Illness: How to Fight the Sickness, Not Each Other, a guide for patient-caregiver partners and for the clinicians who help them.  She has been both the ill partner and a caregiver in her relationship with her husband.
