"People often ask how this journey has impacted us. And while that’s a loaded question, one of the most profound take-aways has been a deeper appreciation for the power of love. As cliché as that may sound, so much of our physical, mental, and spiritual health is dependent upon the quality of the relationships we possess; unless those relationships are grounded in selfless love, they mean nothing. But such a love is terrifying because it means giving someone all of who we are, just as they give us all of who they are. Despite the fear that may accompany such vulnerability, we have witnessed nothing more beautiful than someone choosing to love all of who we are, in spite of who we are." ~ Patrick Gray and Justin Skeesuck
Patrick Gray and Justin Skeesuck are lifelong best friends. When Justin, who is living with a degenerative muscle disease, expressed interest in making the 500-mile pilgrimage across the Camino de Santiago in northern Spain, Patrick simply responded, “I’ll push you.” These three words launched a journey that would shape Justin, Patrick, and their families in ways they never expected. I’ll Push You is a one-of-a-kind film that chronicles their journey and the lessons they learned along the way and reminds viewers of the true meaning of friendship, generosity, and vulnerability. This film is sure to resonate with audiences craving stories of deep spirituality, health, hope, love, and the power of community.
I’ll Push You releases in over 570 theaters nationwide as part of a one-night-only event on Thursday, November 2nd at 7:30 p.m. (all times local).
