Imagery for Growth and HealingAn e-course with Jaqueline Lapa Sussman
Begins September 5 and runs eight weeks
Sussman will lead an eight-week virtual imagery workshop at the Spirituality & Health website beginning September 5. Using simple exercises like the one in our July-August 2008 issue, she will help us unlock some of our most common blocks and enhance our understanding.
Topics will include: Self-empowering yourself in situations where you feel powerless; Getting to know those you love - and don't love; Bringing out your best in work; Using your heart for your physical well-being.
Participants will be invited to share their experiences doing the exercises and ask questions in a virtual community monitored by Sussman. Registration is $19.95. Registration will open soon on this website - please check back!
The S&H Staff at the Omega Center
September 19-21, 2008
Steve Kiesling, Betsy Robinson, Rabbi Rami Shapiro, Paul Sutherland, and Anne Foerst, DTh, will be speaking and meeting at the Omega Center in Rhinebeck, New York September 19-21, 2008 in a workshop titled "Become a Better Steward of Your Ever-Changing Self."
We do not typically wake up in the morning and ask, "What sort of Self shall I create today?" But in a very real sense, that is what we do. The biggest news of the 21st century is that our Self is a story continually being created in the interaction among our genes, our body, our brain, our relationships, the food we eat, and the air we breathe. So how can we become the best steward of our ever changing Self?Come find out how to create the best story for your Self at this gathering of award-winning storytellers from Spirituality & Health magazine. Throughout the weekend, the diverse and learned faculty each lead sessions that include lecture, group discussion, community, prayer, meditation, rest, relaxation, and contemplation as we explore how we see our Self and find out how we can become who we truly want to be.

Living Deeply
Ashland, Oregon, Sept. 19-20
with Marilyn Schlitz, Ph.D., and Cassandra Vieten, Ph.D.
At a time when life’s pace is accelerating for all of us, Living Deeply (the title of a book and the workshop) can be closer than you think. Based on a decade of research at the Institute of Noetic Sciences, this workshop offers a roadmap to creating deep and lasting transformation in your life.
The workshop invites you to become the scientist of your own experience, to take conscious steps, like transforming your car pool into a “sanga”, a disagreement with a coworker into an opportunity to stretch yourself, or an illness experience into a wake-up call for living more fully and deeply.
Bridging science and spirituality, this workshop offers deep insights into growth and transformation at both individual and collective levels. This workshop offers a simple but radical hypothesis: you can change your life by simply changing your mind.
As ancient wisdom converges with the latest scientific understandings of the world, this workshop offers new answers to the age-old questions of “who am I?” and “what am I capable of becoming?”
